Locating Bookends databases in iCloud

Post by joseph_anton »

I set up iCloud Drive syncing and it's working just fine. I have two computers and two iOS devices all up to date on the same database.

I'm having trouble locating the Bookends databases so that I can remove some old ones. I've tried several ways of locating them in iCloud Drive (including viewing the iCloud Drive folder with "View Invisible Files" switched on in Forklift, browsing through the Files App on the iPad, viewing iCloud Drive through the web browser, etc.). I tried the helper app suggested in another thread to make the Bookends folder visible to the file manager, but all that I can see when I browse to this folder is the temporary file the application creates. Any suggestions?

Your database? It should not be in iCloud drive. Your database should be in Application Support/Bookends. Use Bookends -> Help -> Show Bookends Folder in Finder. Your database should be in that folder. If they're not there put them there.

I just found "Manage Cloud Libraries" in Bookends for iOS, which achieves what I was hoping to do (get rid of an old library). Thanks!
