auto-match?

Post by pgseye »

Hi,

I've finally had it with the mess that Papers3 has become and am looking for an alternative. Does Bookends auto-match a pdfs metadata on import (i.e. title, authors, journal, etc), as Papers does? I used Bookends some time ago but only for reference formatting - I am now looking at it as a complete Papers replacement.

Thanks.

It does it automatically if it finds a DOI, JSTOR URL, or arXiv ID in the PDF. If it doesn't, you can still match it yourself using Autocomplete Paper (type in a few words from the title or author name) and search one of hundreds of sites. Please try the demo, it's fully functional except for a 50 reference limit.
