newbie question: scan document not working

I am relatively new to this, and have one database with 100 or so references. when I copy this to a different computer, "scan document" makes me confirm every hit after stating that each is "ambiguous". the same doc/database combo works great on my powerbook, running the same version......any thoughts?

I don't know what is happening. On on vacation now, but whan I get back (8/22) you can send me the combo and I'll take a look.
