Double click attachment area to open file

I'm sorry if I am perhaps replicating something I have missed (I rarely visit the forum), but am I correctly thinking it is not possible anymore to open a pdf attachment to an entry by double clicking in the viewing area of the attachment? This now has to be done through the button at the top of the viewing area or by using the keyboard shortcut - but this often like a waste of time Im afraid. Is there a setting I am missing? If not, would it be possible to bring the double-click option back?

No, it's not possible because now the PDF is editable. Double click has an entirely different meaning.

Double click on the PDF proxy icon above the PDF instead.
