Search across databases

Post by ryanpei »

Hi.
New user, converting from En....that other program.
How do I search across databases? I want to keep my databases separate (one for each subspecialty). How can I do a search that will search all databases at once. Do I need to combine the DB first?
Thanks

Hi,

You can't search multiple databases at once. You must search sequentially or, as you noted, combine them.

Hi ryanpei!

I think I know what you mean, because I also was using that other program before. ;-) But Bookends is soo much better, because of the featue "groups": you can actually keep all references in one single database, just keep the ones for your subspecialties separate by keeping one group per subspecialty.

Then you have everything in one place (and can search across groups), but still keep your subspecialties separate.
