I'm trying to add Date Accessed to the Field Order just after the word Retrieved (using the newspaper Type). I selected u1 and preceded it with $ (i.e., $u1). So, the field order is:
a (d|~, ~u3`)`. t. j,$ p. ^ pp. $p-`.` $Retrieved $u1 from $z
That pulls in the date accessed, but it also pulls in the file path of the document (ThoughtCo.5file://Users/userfname.userlname/Library/Mobile%20Documents/). I've tried a number of things, searched the forum, and looked through the manual and can't seem to find a solution. I'm very new to Bookends, so I realize it's probably something very simple. I just can't find it. Any ideas?
Adding Date Accessed to Field Order
Re: Adding Date Accessed to Field Order
The last symbol (letter) in the format is z, which is the URL field. You must have that information in the URL field (click the enlarge icon to see the multiline field).

Re: Adding Date Accessed to Field Order
I’m away from my desktop so I’ll check when I get home, but I do remember that when I removed u1 from the field order, the file path was no longer there. All that remained was the URL.
Re: Adding Date Accessed to Field Order
In that case the file path is in the u1 (user1) field. In our default newspaper Type there is no "date accessed" field. If you want one, and you are using u1 in the format, then you must put the date accessed in the user1 field.

Re: Adding Date Accessed to Field Order
Jon,
I don't see the file path in u1 field (which, according to the Fields drop down menu in Formats Manager is tied to the Date Accessed field). Here are some screenshots that I hope will help. The web address in the URL field is https://www.thoughtco.com/why-conservat ... ge-3303551.
