New user: how to add page numbers in text citations

Post by bmalin »

I've tried searching a bit for this but couldn't find it.

I often need citations in the text with the format, "... (Jones, 2019, pp. 6-8)". The format manager for citations looks like it has options to add page numbers but if that's what it is I don't understand how to use it.

Thanks in advance.

Enter cited pages in the temporary citation, for example

{temp cite@6-8}

In the format, you tell Bookends to output pp. before cited pages (or just p. if there's one page).

Please refer to the user guide (Help menu), look for "cited pages".

Thanks very much Jon. I am spending some time with the manual and that (obviously) helps a great deal
