Cross linking support for Devonthink
Cross linking support for Devonthink
Devonthink just updated their app so this should now be available—I’m just not really sure how it works or what it is. Does anyone have a sense for what this enables or how to link the two apps?
Re: Cross linking support for Devonthink
Is it simply that internal bookends links are now recognized by DTTG? (Because they are, which is helpful!)

Re: Cross linking support for Devonthink
For example, do long tap on an item row in DEVONthink and choose Copy Item Link. Insert it into a note field of the reference in Bookends for iOS. The next time you will want to open that item in DEVONthink from Bookends just open a note and tap (long tap) on a link. DEVONthink will be launched navigating to the requested item. The same works for the links generated from Bookends for iOS and inserted to an item in DEVONthink.
Crosslinking is only possible between apps that agree to include each other's uri schemes (for example, “bookends://“). Currently the only third party app that Bookends has crosslinking with is DEVONthink. However, it looks like Apple’s apps can open such links without having to register our uri scheme.

Thanks for this! Is there any chance we see a version of bookends for ios that has a full url scheme, so that you can add/edit references, notes, etc using a url? This would truly help automate linking everything together!Serge wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:40 pm For example, do long tap on an item row in DEVONthink and choose Copy Item Link.
