Scan document in word not creating reference and cutting off.
Scan document in word not creating reference and cutting off.
I am using up to date bookends and word. I have retain hidden citations and create new document window checked. It creates a new document with correctly formatted citations but no reference page and only until page 7. The original has 12 pages.
Re: Scan document in word not creating reference and cutting off.
Are you telling Bookends to put the scanned document back in the same window or a new window?

New window.
I've narrowed it down to this paragraph.
In addition, when integrating AWE for formative purposes, teachers may not need to spend as much time correcting and giving feedback on surface error mistakes and shift focus to content, argumentation, and style {\e.g., \Wang et al., 2013, #34688; Warschauer and Grimes, 2008, #26052}. In an interview with a teacher after integrating AWE in the class, in {^Tang and Rich, 2017, #4760}'s study, the teacher remarked that it helped them from marking workload and found themselves providing more targeted writing instruction. This positive change in teaching is supported by other research which found that when teachers had a good understanding of the technology and its limitations, AWE was a catalyst for positive changes in teaching {\e.g., \Chen and Cheng, 2008, #99170; Grimes and Warschauer, 2010, #100593; Li et al., 2015, #79122; Li et al., 2014, #55974; Link et al., 2014, #27866; Link et al., 2014, #86977; Tang and Rich, 2017, #4760; Warschauer and Grimes, 2008, #26052}.
If I delete the last citation, it runs. - {\e.g., \Chen and Cheng, 2008, #99170; Grimes and Warschauer, 2010, #100593; Li et al., 2015, #79122; Li et al., 2014, #55974; Link et al., 2014, #27866; Link et al., 2014, #86977; Tang and Rich, 2017, #4760; Warschauer and Grimes, 2008, #26052}.

Try replacing the existing window content.

I don't understand what you mean.
I tried redoing the last citations from scratch and it cuts off at the same point as before.

When you scan, in the dialog UNCHECK the option to put the result in a new window.

Unchecking does the same thing.
So for the last citation - {\e.g., \Chen and Cheng, 2008, #99170; Grimes and Warschauer, 2010, #100593; Li et al., 2015, #79122; Li et al., 2014, #55974; Link et al., 2014, #27866; Link et al., 2014, #86977; Tang and Rich, 2017, #4760; Warschauer and Grimes, 2008, #26052}.
If I delete the two authors of the same years, it runs. I've bolded it above.

Re: Scan document in word not creating reference and cutting off.
I don't see any obvious problem. Have you tried a different format? One of ours (or at least a different one of ours)?

I am using the default APA 6th edition.
Default MLA and APA 7th seems to be working fine.

Re: Scan document in word not creating reference and cutting off.
Maybe there's a problem with the format file? APA 6th and 7th are very similar.

Find the setting.
In the formats manager, under citation options, if I have use year-only for repeated authors checked, it doesn't work. If it is unchecked it works.
A bug?

Re: Scan document in word not creating reference and cutting off.
I''m confused. That's not an option for custom citation formats like APA (any version). That's only for author-date formats. If you want to follow this up, please contact tech support directly with more information.
