Double click on Library Window could also close edit pane

Post by Asutu »

Double clicking on a reference in the Library Window opens up the edit pane/window (as chosen in the Lists preferences). This is really useful because I like to have the edit panel hidden and only open it when there's a need to add or modify some fields like keywords or notes. However, double clicking again doesn't do anything and to close the edit panel we either have to click on the "open/close right pane" button or with the keyboard shortcut. As a suggestion, I believe it could be more intuitive if double clicking again in the same reference and if the edit panel was open to close it. In this way, attention would be split against two sides only (the references window on the left and the edit panel on the right), instead of three (having to look for a close button in the bottom of the library window). Thanks.

I see this was just incorporated into the new Bookends version 13.4.4. Many thanks!
