Open OpenURL Search in External Browser?

Post by iandol »

Hi Jon, I checked the user manual but didn't find a solution; is there a way to open an OpenURL search in an external browser? I tried cmd or alt clicking the menu entries etc. and didn't notice an option in the preferences...

My current solution is to open it in the internal browser then copy the URL, then paste it into my preferred browser (automated a bit using Alfred).

I don't think so. We switched to using Bookends Browser quite a while ago due to user requests. Since you're accessing via Bookends it is logical to have the ability to do things like import directly from Bookends Browser from the site you go to.

Would it be possible to add an "Open in External Browser" option for Bookends browser? Generally I agree that the internal browser is a good default, but sometimes I need to access extensions and tools that my external browser has...
