Pasting figures, drawings, etc. directly into Bookends

Post by Guy »

Hi there,

Apologies if this has been answered before, but I could not find the relevant information in the forums (fora?). I have bugged Jon many times before so I thought I'd give him a reprieve and canvas the whole group.

Is there a way to paste a figure, drawing etc. in either the Abstract or Notes sections of Bookends? The closest workaround I have come up with so far is to select the drawing (Cmd- Shft - 4), save it as pdf and attach it.

But I would like to be able to see the diagram the minute I open the reference.

Thanks
Jon

You can bug me, it's OK...

The answer is no. Bookends does not store graphic data. Your solution (at attached file) is the only way to get this to work.

Note that Bookends *can* display many images directly -- open the attachment with the Shift key heod down and Bookends will display it directly, without opening the file's creator.
