Issue with pre-installed format and numbering consecutive references

Post by vlau »

Bookends come with a pre-installed format for Biological Psychiatry (Biol Psychiatry) that appears to be incorrect for two reasons. First, reference numbers are displayed in "[]" rather than "()". This is an easy fix. However, I am struggling with the second issue. When citing consecutive references, bookends simplified the listing. That is, if I list references 1, 2 and 3 together, bookends transform this in "(1-3). However, Biological psychiatry requires the following (1, 2, 3). I cannot find any option to adopt this numbering format. Am I missing something?

No, sorry, that's not an option. I'll fix the parentheses issue.

Dear Jon,
Thanks for the quick reply. I can confirm that parentheses are the required format. However, I need to correct myself re the numbering of consecutive references. Biol Psychiatry adopts (1, 2, 3) in the online version of its articles but shift to (1-3) in the published PDFs. So, Bookends is fine on that end.
Best.
