WiFi Sync and renaming an attachment on macOS

I have renamed an attachment in macOS. When I do a WiFi sync, the iPadOS version moves the newly renamed macOS attachment and leaves behind the old attachment. Can this be addressed in a future version so that the iPadOS storage is not ending up with multiple versions of the same attachment file simply with different names?
