Deep links on ios not working?

Is anyone else struggling to get deep links to work on ios? on both my ipad and phone, the links will take me to the pdf, but not to the specific annotation in the pdf that it is linked to. The first few times it seemed to work but i haven't been able to get it to work since then.

Currently, Bookends for iOS can’t go to linked annotations the way it’s done in Bookends for macOS, as different PDF engines are used. In the current release it should only open the PDF. In the next update we hope to show the page the annotation is on.
