Adding keyword(s) to PDF during import

Post by stighagen »

Hey there,

Is there a way to automatically add the keyword "Bookends" (or any other word for that sake) during import to the keyword metadata field on attachments like pdf's? I need the metadata for adding some rules to the file in Devonthink.

Thanks

You can't edit the PDF metadata in Bookends itself. But you can add keywords in Preview using the Inspector and clicking on the magnifying glass icon.

Note that you CAN add a Finder tag to the PDF in Bookends easily, which may actually be what you want to do. It's how Apple expects you to add metadata to the PDF, and it has many advantages (like being indexed by Spotlight).
