Sync smart groups between Mac and iOS

Is it possible to sync smart groups between Mac and iOS?

That's been discussed in a number of threads, and the answer is no. Bookends for Mac and iOS use different database engines with very different capabilities (the macOS one is far more powerful). With Wi-Fi sync, smart Mac groups can be synced to iOS, but they become static groups on that device. We've had discussions about this, and it may or may not come to cloud sync.
