Notice for exact match when renaming an attachment

Post by DrJJWMac »

When a selection is made to rename an attachment, could notice be given when renaming yields the same name as the existing name? Sometimes the name in the opening statement of the dialog is cut off and hides whether the automatic choice is already an exact match to the existing.

The suggested name field is editable -- you can scroll it to the right if you are concerned about the last few characters that might be out of sight.

The current name of the original sources is not scrollable. When both names exceed the dialog box limits, scrolling does not help.

No, the current name isn't in an editable listbox. But you can see the name in the Finder (assuming you have the PDF downloaded already). There is space for pretty long names, though. Please send me a PDF whose name exceeds the text display limit (or must post the name online).
