I am citing a tweet using a custom reference type and a customized version of Chicago (Author-Date) format. For some reason, four letters in the title of the tweet immediately following an emoji consistently appear in a different font (Helvetica) than the rest of the text (Times New Roman). This happens regardless of what emoji I use. It is admittedly a small thing and easy to fix manually, but is there an explanation for why the 'post-emoji' letters are in Helvetica?
In case It matters, the custom reference format is: a (u1). d. “t.” $X.com$, u2, d, u3. z.
u1 is the twitter user name, u2 is the Month?Day, and u3 is the time.

Re: Font change in reference following emoji
Emojis are complex multibyte characters, manipulating them when formatting is not straightforward. Please post the emoji, they can be quite different. Better yet, send it in an email to support@sonnysoftware.com (or do both) to make sure the encoding isn't affected by the forum software.
