Hello,
I have edited two Undefined : Undefined link types to: i) Precursor : Sequel and ii) Sequel : Precursor. These are the only types I have edited (see figure 1).
In the selection menu for a link type, those types multiplied (see figure 2).
Is this a bug or I did something incorrectly? It clutters the list a bit.
Cheers
Link types multiply?
Re: Link types multiply?
If you mean there are two choices per type, that's the intended behavior.
Depending on the "parent" (the reference at the top of the link window, outlined in blue), the relationship could be in either direction (it's the book or the chapter, and the reference in the list is the chapter or the book). You pick the right relationship (with the first option in the pair being assigned to the parent). This saves a second step, where you'd have to assign an ambiguous relationship (which is which?) and then click on the arrow popup menu next to the ref in the list to specify which was which.

Re: Link types multiply?
No, I mean the fact that I have added 1x "Precursor : Sequel" and 1x "Sequel : Precursor" and there are two of each on the list and with this strange separation of "Precursor : Sequel" with two "Sequels" in between.
Re: Link types multiply?
The way you added the relationship was incorrect. Look at the entries that ship with Bookends -- there is only one relationship for each. Bookends will automatically offer it and the inverse in the popup menu. You actually created two new relationships
Precursor - Sequel
Sequel - Precursor
In the popup menu, therefore, you see 4 options.
Get rid of one of them by replacing the parent and child with Undefined.
