importing data from Excel in BE (via Filemaker)

Post by Gerben »

Hello again,

I think today is my "resolve-all-outstanding-import-issues" day :?

Anyway, i have an Excel sheet with newspaper articles (i use Excel for quantitative analysis) and would like to get the data in BE so i can properly cite. Is there a way to import this in BE, perhaps via Filemaker? I know the latter can import Excel sheets. But maybe someone tried this already or simply has a good suggestion.

Thanks,
Gerben

Excel (and FM) can export tab-delimited text files. If there aren't to many fields, it should be possible to create a Bookends import filter that uses the Source parser to import the records.
