Recently added references

Post by lidador »

Hello!

I am using Bookends 9.0.5 in a mac mini intel core duo, Mac OS 10.4.7
I heard some where in this forum that this new 9.0.5 version have a new feature related with "recently added references", even if I don't know exactly what that feature is at this point. But I have reasons to suspect that feature as related to a problem I have now in my 1203 references database, that is: some two or three recently added references now show in different smart groups where they don't belong.
I have already Verify, Reindex, Defragment & Compact the database, with no result so far.

Any idea?

The timestamp added to new references won't affect searches.

The index of your db may be corrupted. Try a rebuild and see if that helps. If it doesn't, please contact me directly and we'll see what the problem is.

I did a complete rebuild of the database and it solved the problem completely, thanks.
Now I have just to add the smart groups again, when needed, but I had too many anyway. On the plus side, the size of the database file dropped from 15 to 5 Megabytes.

Thanks again.
