Bug in Bibliography Sort > Ignore Words ?

Post by talazem »

In the ignore words > author, I'm typing al, Al (with a line inbetween them). If I close the preferences pane, and then open it again, and go to the "scan and bib" pane again, I get: 愀氀ഀ䄀氀. Just like that. :)

Any idea what's going on?

Try removing Bookends Preferences and relaunching Bookends. With the new preferences file that is created, try again. Does it work properly now?

Same thing happened.

Also, in the word processor (choose) (Set to none) place, before selecting TeXShop (after following your instructions of trashing the preferences), I also had a bunch of chinese characters (i think). Those aren't coming back when i close the preferences pane and reopen (i still says TeXshop), but in the scan & bib, i'm getting the chinese characters again.

I just erase the com.sonny... preferences file, right, and then restart?

No. Remove Bookends 9 Preferences from your Preferences folder and relaunch Bookends.

Problem fixed. :) Wonder what that was all about. Now let's see if we can't take care of that other problem...

Simple -- there was some damage to the directory structure of the database. Please zip and send it to me, BTW (the damaged one, not the new one). Your other problem may stem from the same cause.

Ummm...I deleted the preferences file completely. I thought that's what I had to do. :( Sorry about that.

But the other problem is still there. Just tried.
