Title Case confusion

Post by danzac »

Jon, I was under the impression that when you set the choice for the case of Title to whatever you choose that it only applied to the Title field. (I do recall asking previously on the forum to be able to apply 'Title Case' to other fields of our choice in the formatting specifications)

Anyway the reason I bring it up is because I am setting it to 'Title Case' in my format, but Title Case is now being applied to my journal field. This is causing me all sorts of problems for me because it is changing the abbreviations and full title names in my journal glossary to Title Case—especially for abbreviations which usually have cominations of large and small caps.

Can this be fixed for the update?

This is the same field used for Series Title for books, and title case applies to it for book variants. If the Type is Journal Article (which is should be to see the journal field), it should not be put in title case.

You can contact me off-forum if this doesn't address the problem.
