Bookends and neooffice

Post by ppnkg »

Does bookends work with neooffice? So far I have only been able to find out that it can scan an .rtf file (it then places the list in the clipboard, leaving the temporary citations in the text untouched - a totally unsatisfactory solution). Is there something I am missing, or is there no support for neooffice?

thanks

I haven't played with neooffice for a while, but the last time I did the scan worked. You can send me the neooffice rtf file and your database, zipped, and I'll take a look.

Hi Jon,

thanks, I figured out how it works for rtf.

Still, are there any future plans to add specific support for Neooffice, eg an add-in as for MSWord?

I looked into it a bit, and neooffice doesn't support VBA (and may never, for Writer). And AFAICT, neooffice doesn't support AppleEvetns. We can revisit this after Office 2008 with more AE support is out and see if neooffice implements that...
