slow internet searches

My internet searches via utilities menu are going extremely slow, but Ref Miner (I still have it) is working up to speed. Any ideas why?
~I swore to myself that if I ever got to walk around the room as manager people would laugh as they saw me coming and applaud as I walked away~

No, they use virtually identical code for this.
