global change field for key words

Post by hareiko »

"Global Change > Change Field …"
allows me to append a new key word to the key word field of a group of references. However this will be on the same line as the last key word in the key word field. If, on the other hand, I insert a carriage return before the new key word into the "put" field of the "change field …" dialog box, the key word will be on a new line. But there will be an empty first line in the keyword field of such refs that had no keyword attributed before the global change. Not nice!

Is it possible to add a new item to the "before / after / into" pop-up menu, such as "on a new line" that would not create empty lines?

I think it would make for sense for Bookends to ignore the leading return character in the "put after" function if there is no text in the field...

OK, that's done. In the next update, you'll find that when doing a global change a leading return (if present) is not inserted if the field is empty.
