I'm working on a Nisus Writer Pro document and the citations all seem to be correct as I get an accurate bibliography.
However, in the scanned document, each in-text citation is now bare, just a date and page number for example, but without enclosing Parentheses.
I thought that the parentheses would replace the {} characters, is that wrong?
Or have I missed a setting?
Thanks,
Craig Turner
Scanning does not produce Parentheses
Hi, how the curly brackets are replaced is a setting in the format. You choose nothing, for example, if the citation is to be a superscripted number. So please check the format you are using. If you still have problems, please contact me directly for tech support.

Formatting
Jon,
Thanks very much for the reply. I had been using Bookends for so long now, through so many versions, as a database only and not to scan documents with citations. I simply forgot to check closely into the Formats Manager, right there in the menu. Yes, the "Enclose citations" was blank.
All is, of course, fine now. Thanks again.
