Deleting styles throughout the database

Because my references database has come from many sources, I am always finding unwelcome formatting in my bibliographies and citations. I have things set to paste "plain", but is there any way to search and replace styles/fonts in the existing database -- to eliminate this annoyance once and for all? Forgive me if it's right there, but I'm not seeing it.

It's there: Global Change -> Restore Default Font and Styles

Do this on the entire database or just the refs in the hits list.
