help with a format for journal SLEEP

Post by jmurthy »

Hi,

I have made a custom format for Journal SLEEP (leading journal for sleep medicine). However, I am stuck with respect to citation format.
Two issues:
SLEEP requires that if 3 or more consecutive citations are used, the first and the last in the series should be listed with a hyphen separating them.
I am also not getting commas separating the citations when there are 3 or more refs cited.
eg of the recommended format is below.
According to our previous work,1,3-8,19 (these numbers are superscripts).
url to the authors instruction:
http://www.journalsleep.org/AuthorInfo.aspx

I have attached the custom format I have created. pls feel free to include this custom format in your future releases.

Hi,

If you cite by numbers, Bookends will add the hyphen for you automatically. I suspect the format isn't configured properly. There is no link in this post to the format. You can send it to me (zipped) and I'll what the problem is.
