Scanning part of a document
Scanning part of a document
Is there a way to scan only a portion of a document with bookends? I have a document broken up into several sections and I need to make a separate reference list for each section. I've thought about copying each section into its own document, scanning, then pasting the scanned section and resulting bibliography back into the original document, but I'm afraid this would wreak havoc with the automatic section and figure numbering.

Hi,
You can't restrict the scan to only part of a document. If you want a bib at the end of each chapter of a long document, for example, you'd have to save each chapter separately and scan that. Of course, you could leave the full length document intact (preserving any cross-references) and simply copy/paste the bibs that Bookends creates at the end of each section/chapter.
