Numbers - after attaching pdf

Post by mkhabbaz »

Hi,
When I attach PDF to a reference and ask bookends to move the file (instead of copying), bookends attach the pdf file but instead of the file disappearing, bookends leave a file of the same size but has 5 digit number for its name and without extension.

any idea how to make bookends move the pdf without leave a trace ?

It you tell Bookends to move it, it should. Make sure that your default attachments folder isn't the same as the folder the pdf is currently in.

The number is added when you already have an attachment with that name, and Bookends has to disambiguate them.

If the file still isn't being moved (after you checked the default folder) you should contact us directly for tech support.

The folders are not the same.
Bookends move the file but leave the 'numbers' file in the place of the original file.

it seems like Bookends 'forgets' to delete this file after the moving/copying/renaming process.

I am using a folder on external USB drive, if this makes any difference.
