I am using Bookends 10.4 with Mellel and need to cite references in vancouver style. Most of the default settings after scan are ok but I want to make some changes in the format like when I have multiple citations after one word, and after scan it looks like this
bla bla bla(1),(2),(3),(7)....
How can I make it appear like this bla bla bla(1-3,7)...
that is put consecutive citations together and seperate only the other ones?

I was leaving gaps at first between multiple citations and erasing them wouldn't fix the issue. But when I erased all the multiple citation and reinserted them continuously without gaps, after scanning it gave me the result I needed.
