Database engine error -61 on update to 10.4.1

Just starting my final paper, like a fool I upgraded to 10.4.1, I should know better and just wait until paper is done. OK, so I do the upgrade, and I get the read/write permissions error that is mentioned in the other thread (admin permissions have been changed since), I quit bookends, restarted and get the database error -61. It also wants me to register bookends again. (I have forgotten my reg code, why cant it just copy the old preference file to get this?) So, now here I am, paper due Friday, Bookends sitting in a pile at my feet...what do I do now?

As I've already replied to your tech support request (which is the appropriate avenue for such problems), -61 errors usually mean you are running two versions of Bookends. Make sure that isn't so. Bookends hasn't "forgotten" your registration number.
