Before I found the tip above on using FireFox for automatically downloading the fires I was using this technique. Which while no longer neccessary might prove useful for something related to this in the future.

I would download each "import into BibTex" link to a particular folder. I would then open the Terminal, navigate to that folder, then execute this command on the command line:

cat * > output

This would take all of the files and concatonate them into one file (output).

I then would add .txt to the file so I had output.txt and then Bookends would import the whole lot without having click "ok" for each entry.

NOTE: For what its worth I tried this technique compared to the Firefox solution above. I noticed on one entry that the FireFox RefMan technique imported the year for some journals more accurately.
