Keyboard shortcuts

Hi, I am new to Bookends, and this question is perhaps dumb, but being unable to solve it all day has made me reckless. I try to avoid having to use the mouse as much as possible to save my wrist, so the first thing I do when I get used to a new app is internalize its keyboard shortcuts.

I combed the Tutorial, the User Guide and the Forum for a keyboard shortcut to open the reference window for a particular selected record in list view. Without success so far. Is there such a shortcut? I am not sure what key combination would make sense for that, perhaps option-command-S for "show reference"? or option-command-E for "Edit reference"?

Searching for this I really missed a list of shortcuts available in Bookends in the User Guide. That would be so neat.

Thanks.

Best,
Jeanne

Workaround switching between ref and list windows

I found a workaround that somewhat solves my problem. If both the list view and the reference window are open, you can circle through them with the standard OS X shortcut ctrl-right-arrow.

Still, it would be nice to have a list of shortcuts... Perhaps there is one hidden somewhere in the documentation where I haven't looked. I would appreciate a pointer.

Best,
Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,

Just hit Return or Enter -- that will open the reference window view.

Gosh, Jon, thank you. How beautifully simple:
