I've just discovered that Bookends 8 won't open my Bookends 7.7.5 database. Could you please provide a clear, simple description of the best way to, first, export Bookends 7.7.5 databases in the appropriate form and then, second, import them into Bookends 8?

This is explained in the first paragraphs of the "Bookends Read Me.rtf" file inside your "Bookends Folder".

Basically, you have to export your old database in Bookends 7 and re-import it with Bookends 8 (in bookends format).
