Word+endnote/Win doc to mellel+BE... possible?

Has anyone had experience on conversion from Word+EN/win document to Mellel+BE? It is both a question of possibility and convenience.
I have a rather long MSWord doc, with many EN citations. Is it possible (and rather easy) to convert it to Mellel and the footnote EN citations to BE citations? How would it be the procedure?

I know I have to export Word document to rtf, to have tables and footnotes rightly recognized in Mellel. But how can I get the citations kept and recognized by BE?

Thank you

EN usually inserts author, date, and record number. If that's true in your case, a procedure that has worked well for others is to export the references from the EN database as XML and import them into Bookends. Bookends will try to preserve the record number as the Bookends unique ID. In most cases, you can then scan the document with Bookends.

Unformat the EN-formatted paper. Once you have the paper in Mellel (any way you can), there is the option to convert temporary text citations to Mellel citations.

Thanks. I'll try that.
