How do I omit both the author name and year in APA?

Hi —

In APA, a sentence might read like this:

In his study of widgets, Johnson (2003) asserts "Blah blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda" (p. 42).

I know how to use the % to get the post-scan citation to show only the year, like "(2003)," but how do I get Bookends to omit both the author AND the year and display only the page number, like "(p. 42)"? (Couldn't find the answer in the manual, pp. 97-100.) I see a workaround in entering it manually but it sure would be nifty if Bookends could do it automatically.

Thanks in advance for the 411.

You'd handle that situation by using a "self deleting" citation:

...{!Johnson, 2003, title and whatever}...(p. 42).

When the first character is an exclamation point, Bookends will remove the citation altoegether but include the reference in the bibliography.
