Special Characters

Hi!

In many OSX applications it is quite easy to enter a special characters like ö ë ú in text (for example author names). Generaly it can be done by choosing EDIT and Special Characters which opens the Character Palette. (See also http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html ... h1064.html)
I was wondering why this option is not implemented in Bookend? Or does Bookend offer an (better) alternative for inserting special characters?

Thanks,

Maarten

There are keyboard shortcuts for many of these (e.g., Option-u u for an umlauted ü). And you can always open the Special Characters palette from the Mac OS X menu (the flag).

But you have anticipated me, and you'll be able to do this from a menu in Bookends in the next update, too.

Hi,

Not all Special Characters are available with the keyboard. Thank you very much for implementing the Character Palette in Bookends!

Thanks.
