"my emphasis"

Now that bibliographies play even more nicely between Mellel and Bookends, how is one able to add "my emphasis" to the end of a textual citation? As of now, the @[page number] needs to be the last element in a reference or the formatted textual citation ends up being (???). Adding \my emphasis \ at the beginning of the reference would be an acceptable reminder to myself to manually alter the formatted citation, but it confuses Mellel, which won't group that reference with others from the same source. Any tricks?

(Hopefully the Bookends forum is the right place to discuss this. I have a knack for getting this type of thing wrong, so forgive me if I have again)

Hi,

This is the right place. As noted in a recent thread, you can't mix quoted text and cited pages in a citation. So use quoted text for both:

{the citation\, p. 18, my emphasis\}
