Exclude footnote from bibliography?

Hi,
I use Mellel and Bookends.
I like the automatic scan + generate bibliography option. But, I don't necessarily want all footnote citations included in the bibliography,
Is there a way to automatically exclude a footnote citation from the bibliography?
Thanks!!

When you scan the first time, there is an option to exclude a bibliography. If you forgot to set that, unscan and then scan again -- this time, set it the way you want.

Not sure I understand.
This much makes sense: after selecting "Scan Document" in Mellel, then uncheck "Make a bibliography after scan."
Then, how do I "set it the way I want."
Note: what I want it most, but not all, footnotes in the Bibliography. Of course, I could hand delete from the final list, but is there a way to opt out the footnote prior to making the Bibliography?
Thanks Jon,
-steve.

Ah, sorry I missed that it was another ad hoc formatting question. You can exclude a footnote from the bibliography by using Copy Formatted, which places the final, formatted version in the text at the time you write. You can't exclude temporary citations from the bibliography on an ad hoc basis.
