Hello,

Is there a way to add to the bibliography list in Bookends, namely in the database, citations taken from documents in archives.

TIA

Raymond

I do not really understand what you are asking for / what you mean by "citations taken from documents in archives".

Do you mean a specific kind of reference type (for example "archive document" as compared to "book" or "journal article")?

Or do you mean a citation taken out of a reference (for example two sentences taken from a book)?

Or something else?

Is there a possibility?

Yes, you can add a new reference type to your format.

Go to Biblio > Formats Manager

double click the format which you use and which should offer the new "archive document" type

then click on "Type" and choose "Add Type…" – then you can define how the new type should be formatted.

Further informations as to how to do this in detail are, of course, in the User Guide…

It may be (although I am not sure) that what Raymond has in mind is a way to keep two kinds of reference so that one can generate a separate bibliography for archive sources as opposed to other (normal?) sources.
