Is there any way of filtering lists by article type, e.g. review articles/editorials etc?

I suspect not, because I don't think BE imports these Pubmed fields...

The Bookends PubMed filter can import any fields you want (you'd just add these to the Type definition list). But if you're asking does it behave differently depending on the type of the imported reference, then the answer is no.
