Information on the upcoming relase
Is there any further information on plans for the next major release of Bookends (v10)?
Hi,
Development is nearing completion and it is in the hands of a few select beta testers. There will be something new or improved for almost everyone (including a revamped List View and reference window). No release date yet, but I expect it won't be far off. It will be announced here when it's ready.

Hi all,
A bit more information…
Bookends 10 addresses many feature requests from our users: an improved interface, new reference fields, reference ratings, more collaborative Server options, more online search configurability, more flexibility in how Bookends automatically assigns names/links/citations/views, and many other improvements that touch most aspects of the application. And of course it will be further improved as we get more feedback. Bookends 10 will require Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) or later.
Although we think most of you will like the new look and features, we do anticipate that not everyone will upgrade, and expect one more (final) addition to the Bookends 9 series later this year to make it compatible with Leopard.
Bookends 10 will be a paid-for release. Current users will be able to order the upgrade for the usual price ($29) and will be given a new serial number. Anyone who buys Bookends now will receive the upgrade for free.
