I'm sure I will upgrade to v10, but for now I want to download 9.2.2.

By the way, when I checked for updates, it told me 9.1 was up to date. Liar! :D

Me too. Cannot find any upgrade links for 9.x.
I bought 9.1 in January, and received an email stating that upgrades would be notified.
The one and only email received is about version 10.0.1.

Yes, the 9.x code for update checking incorrectly identifies version 10 as on older product. This is fixed in Bookends 10, of course.

You can get 9.2.2 here:

We upgrade Bookends very frequently (probably on average every 6-8 weeks) and don't bombard our users with every one. We typically notify users when there is a "1.0" upgrade (like 9.x to 10.x).

[Edit] I should have added that with Bookends 10 this issue is moot, because Bookends now checks for new versions on launch and notifies you when they are available.

Hi Jon

Thanks for the link to 922, but it doesn't seem to work at present.

Is there a problem with it/can I download it elsewhere?

Many Thanks

Daniel

You need Mac OS X 10.3.9 to mount the .dmg, I think (not sure). If you can't get it to work, please try another Mac (preferably one running 10.4.x) if you can.

922 - MLA?

Dear Jon

The 9.2.2 download dmg now works fine - for some reason it wouldn't download the other day (using 10.4.9 / Firefox ) , so thankyou.

However I've noticed that in 9.2.2., the MLA Format has completely changed from 9.0.8., which I was using previously. It no longer underlines titles and has changed in some other weird ways too.

Is there a reason for this? I have now lost the previous, integral MLA format as it was overwritten (and was not one of my 'safe' custom formats saved elsewhere, when I installed 9.2.2. I don't suppose you have an old version of the MLA format somewhere?

Thanks,
Daniel Wilson

The underlining was replaced to italics, because some people complained that underline was outdated. You can't please everyone.

It's easy to change back to underline if you like -- just open the format and replace the italics (for example, f, for full journal in Journal Article Type) with underline. I'm not sure what other changes you mean, but they were probably corrections.
