Constructing a Bibliography with "Various Artists"

Greetings,

I'm in need of some technical help in creating a bibliography using Chicago 15A.

I have the bibliography set to use "---." for repeated works by the same author.

However, because my dissertation references several CD compilations, I have the CDs listed as "Various Artists." In this instance I don't want to use "---." for repeated "Various Artists." Is there a way to generate a biblio/discography where "Various Artists" would be excluded from the use of "---."?

Regards,
Hussein

If it's in the authors field, then Bookends can't distinguish between "Various Artists" and an artist's name. You could, I imagine, create a new reference Type for such a collection and enter Various Artists in a user-defined field, and in the format output that field where the author's name would go.

Hashid,

I think the CMS has models for how recordings should be cited. Follow Jon's advice and create a new template based on that.
