Multiple volume works

Hi,
I am having trouble figuring out how to output multiple volume numbers in a series. By changing one of the fields to volume, I have a place to input volume number, but I need to be able to differentiate between a single volume in a series (vol. 9) and multiple volumes in a series (vols. 9-10). I note that you can change ed to eds by adding ++ to the field, but is there a similar way of dealing with volume numbers?
