improvement of duplicating references

While duplicating referendes is a great feature from my point of view it has one minor blemish: If you duplicate a reference the duplicate has the same added-date as the original. I would appreciate it, if the added date would be set to the date of duplicating.

I came to this because when I duplicate a reference from the list view and then not immidiately edit the duplicate but first make other things and then come back to the duplicate editing I sometimes did not know on the first view wich is the duplicate and which is the original. (It is important to edit not the original in cases this is already used as citation if I understood the things correctly.)

The problem could be solved by showing the Unique ID in the list view, but the added date is much more intuitive to use for that I think.

Other applications are adding "(copy)" to the Title field, to solve this problem but that is not that nice I would say.

What do you think?

That seems reasonable.

On a side note, please reserve polls for contentious issues where input from the community would be helpful. I don't think anyone wants to see these proliferate for simple feature requests (maybe I should ask for a poll on that).

I thought while the thing I suggested is already possible it would be better to hear what others think about the idea. But I'll try to remember not to use polls for that in the future.
