I was trying to get Bookends to show when I added references, so I went Preferences, Lists, and changed on of the four PMID fields to Added. Uh oh. Now I get all kinds of dialogs with errors, such as "Field name 'authorEditorSortMethod' is not unique", and then I get an SQL dialog box coming up. I don't see any of the references in the list window, and when I get rid of the SQL box, my fourth column in List view is saying '4'.

Any idea what has gone wrong? Thanks.

Yes. Somehow an a field (authorEditorSortMethod) was duplicated in your database, which is illegal (field names must be unique). I think rebuilding the database will take care of it.

Unfortunately, when I try to either Repair or Rebuild (either with or without retaining user settings), I get the same errors "SQL error: line 1:59: unexpected token".

How can I get out of this loop?
